Week 18

Published on 23 April 2025 at 11:39

This past week I got completely settled in, and started working towards new appointments and schedules for continued treatment.  I met with my surgeon again, who for now is in charge of treatments in Texas.  She is sending me to a general oncologist who is accepting of holistic and integrative treatments, and he should be able to take the files from my Arizona clinic and build a good plan.  For now, the countdown is on until June 23rd, when I'll go for another PET/CT scan to see if any cancer is still hanging out.  If so, the doctor recommends I undergo surgery.

I had a blood test, which came back showing ZERO circulating tumor cells in my bloodstream, so that is a great piece of news!

I'm having trouble finding an immunotherapy clinic that can work with my port, since I'm trying to avoid needles if possible.  I have a few leads, but am also hoping my new oncologist can recommend some places.

On Wednesday I was able to attend a support group and meet some ladies who are going through cancer, or have had a close family member go through it.  They were such an encouragement!  The group is very active, and I look forward to meeting more of their members.  I'm so grateful for the lady who put it together in order to help all of us find hope and cheer together.

If you have me on your prayer list, firstly thank you so much!  Here are some specific requests that I'm asking God for currently:

- The new oncologist to work well with my current plan

- A good immunotherapy clinic that can access a port, double blessing if they accept insurance

- My CA antigen numbers to go down to a normal range (bloodwork was just done yesterday) - for now they are 51.8 (should be 38.6 or lower), and 31.2 (should be 25 or lower)

- My nutrition plan and supplements, along with other processes I'm trying, to all work in harmony to restore my health.  (I'm trying basically everything, lol!)
